Our Story

It all started with a passion for weddings. After working for a wedding magazine for years, I started Styled and Seated - a wedding and events styling company. This naturally led to exploring the wonderful world of flowers.

As demand grew for the floral side of the business, I worked to hone my floristry skills and offer beautiful, modern and natural flowers for the most special of days. It has been fourteen years of amazing wedding days and super special events that I couldn’t be more proud of.

In 2021, the opportunity to re-open a much loved local flower shop seemed like a little ray of hope after a year of Covid pandemic uncertainty. Our new Remy & Rose shop blossomed for two years and I found a gap in the market for wild, seasonal blooms that are made with heart and attention to detail every time. (The shop is named after my dog Remy, in case you were wondering!)

With a young family and rising business costs, it was no longer viable to have a retail premises, so in 2023 we made the decision to return to a studio setting from my home in West Monkseaton.

We now focus on weddings, funerals, workshops and Christmas flowers, with the occasional availability for gift bouquets throughout the year.
